Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals 2027/28: Fully Funded Master's in Sweden, Apply to Your Programme by 15 January
Offered by Swedish Institute
15 Jan 2027
Swedish Institute Scholarships 2027/28 cover tuition, SEK 12,000 a month and a travel grant. First step: apply to a master's by 15 January 2027. Full guide.
The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) are back for the 2027/28 academic year. The award pays full tuition for a one- or two-year master's degree in Sweden, plus a living allowance of SEK 12,000 a month and a one-time travel grant. It is aimed at people who already have work and leadership experience and want to take what they learn back home.
The scholarship itself opens in February 2027. But the first and most important deadline is much sooner: you must apply to an eligible master's programme through University Admissions in Sweden by 15 January 2027. Without that university application, you cannot be considered for the scholarship.

How to apply, step by step
- Pick your programmes now. When SI publishes its eligible list in November, check that your choices are on it. Only programmes on that list count for the scholarship.
- Apply on universityadmissions.se by 15 January 2027. Upload transcripts, degree certificate, passport and English test results by 1 February 2027, and pay the application fee.
- Collect proof of work. Ask employers early for the signed SI work experience certificate. Count your hours carefully: 3,000 hours is about 18 months of full-time work.
- Write your leadership examples. SI looks for concrete cases where you led people, projects or change, and for a clear plan to use your degree at home.
- Submit the SI application between 8 and 24 February 2027.
Practical tips
- Choose programmes that link directly to your work, so the line between your job, the degree and your future plans is easy to see.
- Do not wait for the scholarship to open before applying to universities. Missing 15 January ends your chances for this round.
- Keep your documents in English or with certified translations, and make sure names match your passport exactly.
