What this site is for

Funded opportunities are badly served by the internet. They are announced on university pages that are hard to find, copied onto aggregator sites that never update them, and shared in group chats months after they closed. The cost of that falls on the person who spends an evening on an application for a programme that shut in March.

So the whole site is built around one promise: nothing on these lists has already closed. Deadlines are checked when a listing is created, again by an automatic sweep every night, and once more by the queries that build every page you see. A programme whose deadline passes yesterday is off the lists before you read the site in the morning.

How a listing gets here

Three ways, and each is treated differently.

We find it. Someone here reads the organisation's own announcement and writes the entry from it.
Somebody sends it. Anyone can submit an opportunity. Submissions go to a review queue, never straight to the site, and a person reads every one.
An automated check flags it. We watch a small number of public listing sites for programmes we have missed. What that process collects is facts — a title, a link, a date — never somebody else's writing. Every result arrives unpublished and is written up here before it appears.

Whichever route it came by, the Apply link on a listing points at the organisation running the programme. Not at us, not at an aggregator, and not at anything that pays us for the click.

What we check, and what we cannot

We check that the programme exists, that the link goes to the organisation, and that the deadline matches what the organisation publishes on the day we look.

We cannot check that a deadline has not moved since. Organisations extend, shorten and quietly withdraw programmes without announcing it, and no third party can promise otherwise. Confirm the deadline on the organisation's own page before you apply. Every listing links straight to it, which is the main reason that link is there.

Money

We never charge to list an opportunity and we never charge to read one. No organisation can pay for a listing, for a position on a list, or to have a listing that we would otherwise decline.

No legitimate scholarship, fellowship or grant asks an applicant for a fee to apply. If something you found here does, tell us and we will take it down — that is a scam, and it reaching this site would be our failure, not yours.

When we get it wrong

We will. A date will be stale, a link will rot, a programme will turn out not to be what its own page said it was.

Tell us through the contact form and it gets fixed. If a listing was wrong in a way that could have cost someone an application, it is corrected rather than quietly deleted — see the corrections policy.
