Read this before anything else. The Rhodes Trust has suspended the Global Rhodes Scholarship — the route open to candidates whose country has no Rhodes constituency of its own. The Board of Trustees announced the suspension with immediate effect, citing shifting strategic priorities. Listings elsewhere that still advertise a "global" Rhodes Scholarship are out of date.
The constituency scholarships continue, and several African countries hold one: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Zambia, and the East Africa, West Africa and Southern Africa regional constituencies among them. You apply to the constituency you are eligible for, not to Oxford centrally, and each runs its own committee, deadline and interview.
