A leadership programme hosted at the University of San Diego for young people aged 20 to 25 who have finished at least one year of higher education.
The Hansen Leadership Institute is an in-person programme conducted at the University of San Diego campus. It invites applications from both international candidates and residents of the United States who satisfy specific age and educational qualifications. Eligible applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 25 and have finished at least one academic year at university or college, or have recently completed their undergraduate degree.

- Register an account on the online application website.
- Complete each section of the application entry form, saving work as needed.
- Submit the application form upon completing all sections (applicants do not need to wait for their references to finish before submitting).
- Ensure references and all other materials are fully submitted before the appropriate deadline: 15 January 2027 at 11:55 PM Pacific Time for international applicants, or 15 March 2027 at 11:55 PM Pacific Time for United States applicants.
- Submit only one application, as creating multiple entries will prevent access to the portal.

Applicants must be between 20 and 25 years old on 1 July 2027 (at least 20 and under 26). Candidates must have completed at least one year of college or university. Graduates who are not currently enrolled in a graduate programme must be recent graduates who finished in 2025 or 2026. No exceptions to the eligibility requirements are granted. Only one application per candidate is permitted.
