The Asian Development Bank (ADB) Young Professionals Programme (YPP) 2027 is a premier three‑year fellowship based at ADB’s headquarters in Manila, Philippines. It is designed to launch careers in international development across the Asia‑Pacific region.
Who can apply
- Citizens or nationals of any ADB member country
- Aged 32 years or younger at the time of joining
- Hold at least a first‑level university degree (bachelor’s) in economics, finance, business administration, engineering, law, public policy or social sciences; a postgraduate degree is strongly preferred
- Possess a minimum of three years relevant professional experience (internships count) or a completed PhD
- Demonstrate excellent written and spoken English
Programme structure
- Initial assignment (18 months): Work in an operations or operations‑support department, gaining exposure to lending, grants, policy studies and technical assistance.
- Rotational assignment: Follow‑up placement aligned with personal career interests and ADB priorities.
- Mentorship & training: Receive guidance from senior international staff and access multi‑faceted training programmes.
